A year earlier, WEIL Prague received from Corporate INTERNATIONAL the award “2012 Law Firm of the Year” for Corporate Law. In 2011, WEIL had been chosen by epravo.cz as the „Law Firm of the Year 2011” in the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and the Arbitration and Dispute Resolution categories, and it was also awarded the grand prize in last year´s epravo.cz survey – „Law Firm of the Year 2011” in the International Law Firms category. Mergermarket selected WEIL as the most successful legal advisor in the field of mergers and acquisitions in the Czech Republic for 2009 measured by both the number and value of the transactions. In 2009, WEIL also received the prestigious award “Chambers Europe Award for Excellence” for an international law firm active in the Czech Republic after it had previously been awarded the same prize also in 2008. MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS WEIL provides legal services in the field of mergers and acquisitions to a wide range of both local and international clients and participates in the largest transactions in that area in the Czech Republic. WEIL has been regularly advising to corporations of General Electric group, for example, GE Capital (in connection with its business activities in the Czech market) or GE Money Bank (in connection with the acquisition of VB Leasing). The major transactions, in which WEIL recently participated as a legal advisor, further include the acquisition of a majority share in Halla Visteon Climate corporation by the South Korean private equity fund Hahn & Company as well as the acquisition of a majority share in AAA Auto Group by a private equity fund Abris Capital Partners.
